"During my two-weeks internship in the laboratory, I learned a lot about the different properties of clays and was offered a detailed insight into the profession of "Test Engineer for Ceramics".
After brief introductions to the laboratory testing equipment, I was allowed to operate the machines, to handle some tasks independently and evaluate the results of my work. I always felt well looked after by all the laboratory staff."

"During my seven weeks as an intern in the technical maintenance department, I took advantage from the long-term professional experience of the staff who shared comprehensive, practical knowledge.

In the workshop I was shown basics of metal processing. I was then able to apply this knowledge both in the workshop and during maintenance work on production machines.

When working in production, the areas were always explained to me by dedicated employees and all questions were answered. I quickly felt integrated into the existing team."

"As part of my studies in Georesource Management at the RWTH Aachen University I was able to complete an internship at G&S. I particularly liked the fact that the activities were very varied. I worked independently in the company, but was also allowed to accompany my supervisor to the various clay deposits. Here I learned a lot of new things, which helped me during my studies. I like a lot both the exciting fields of activity, and the friendly reception by the entire team. So every day was fun"

"The internship at G&S gives a good introduction to the work in a ceramic raw material company. One gains insights into the extraction of the raw material and its processing through to testing and control in the laboratory. One benefits from the experience of the friendly and competent employees which is especially helpful for studies and ensures there is no missing out on fun during the internship."
