Please read through the statements below carefully. You are of course welcome to contact our data protection officer if you have any questions. You can find the contact details at the bottom of this privacy policy.

1 Definitions

Data privacy is a complex topic. We have compiled some of the basic definitions for you to make it easier to understand this privacy policy.

Order processing” (abb. OP) in terms of Art. 28 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (formerly “Contract data processing” (abb. CDP) in accordance with Section 11 of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG)) is to be simply understood as a service where personal data is collected, processed and / or used on behalf and instruction of the controller by a service provider (processor according to GDPR and data processor according to BDSG). Before such an order can be issued to a service provider, we conclude a specific contract with the service provider and take other measures to protect your personal data.

Cookies” are small text files that are stored on your end device (e.g. computer or smartphone) and save certain settings and data to share with our system through your browser. A cookie usually contains the name of the visited website which the cookie files were sent from, information about the age of the cookie and an alphanumerical identification code. Cookies allow systems to identify the user’s device and instantly provide any possible presettings.

Third party is any natural or legal person or body, except the person concerned, the controller, the processor and the people who are authorised to process the personal data under the controller or processor’s direct responsibility, see Art. 4 No. 10 GDPR. It is therefore not a third party if personal data is being given to a service provider as part of order processing in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR or Section 11 BDSG.

IP addresses are numerical sequences, which can be allocated to individual IT devices or a group. The IP is used to be able to assign data to the right recipient, similarly to postal addresses.

Personal data” is to be understood as any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, specifically the first and last name, date of birth, email address, home address, as well as bank and payment details and also health details, see Art. No. 1 GDPR (individual details about an identified or identifiable person in accordance with Section 3 Para. 1 BDSG).

Controller” according to Art. 4 no. 7 GDPR (formerly “Responsible authority” according to Section 3 Para. 7 BDSG) is any person or entity which solely or jointly determines the purposes and means of processing personal data (in this case the website operator).

2 Controller

The controller in relation to your personal data on this website is:

GOERG & SCHNEIDER GmbH u. Co. KG

Fax: +49 (0) 26 23 - 604 40
Email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

If there is a “controller” other than the aforementioned entity in terms of the General Data Protection Regulations or BDSG, this will be explicitly and separately pointed out to you, if it is not obvious.

We need this data to make your visit to this website as pleasant as possible. We do not create an individual profile of your online activities though. Your user behaviour is analysed in an anonymous form. It is generally also possible to use this website without cookies. However, we cannot rule out restricted use of the website or it being less user friendly.

Most standard browsers allow for cookies to be deactivated or restricted to certain websites. Browsers also regularly have the option of informing you as soon as cookies are used. As a precaution, we already point out the use of cookies to you when you visit this website.

3.2 Forwarding your data, using services

We collect and use your data in compliance with statutory regulations and only for our own purposes. Data is not forward to third parties, unless there is a legal obligation to do so or you have consented to this.

If we use other service providers to facilitate our offer and possibly grant them the required access to your data, we have of course concluded a contract for order processing (abb. OP contract) with our service providers for order processing (abb. Order processor) in accordance with Art. 28 of the GDPR or Section 11 of the BDSG. We are still responsible for your data privacy. The service providers used are not considered to be third parties due to the concluded contract.

3.4 Data use / storage period

3.5 Where data is used

Your data is generally processed in Germany. In exceptional cases, information that you send us may be stored on servers outside the European Union (EU). If we make an exception here as the “controller” or “responsible authority”, we will inform you about this.

4 Integrating services and third party content

4.1 General

It is possible that third party content, for example videos from YouTube or map material from Google Maps or graphics from other websites, is integrated into this website. This always assumes that the provider of this content (subsequently referred to as “third-party provider”) uses the user’s IP address. As without the IP address, the content generally cannot be sent to the respective user’s browser. The IP address is therefore required to display this content. We make every effort to only use content whose providers only use the IP address to deliver the content. However, we do not have any influence over third-party providers storing the IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes. If we are aware of this, we inform the user.

4.2 Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc., which saves cookies (smaller text files) on your computer. It is possible to analyse visitor behaviour on the website using these cookies. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) is generally transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.

As a rule, Google will abbreviate your IP address for Member States of the European Union as well as for other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (EEA) beforehand. In exceptional cases, your full IP address may be sent to a Google Inc. server in the US and therefore abbreviated in the USA.

Google Inc, will use this information on the website operator’s behalf to analyse your online use. This collected data is not associated with any other data held by Google.

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. For cases where you only want to refuse the processing of data by Google Inc., you can download and install a browser plugin on the following website:

http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

The browser plugin should be available for the following browsers: Microsoft Internet Explorer (latest version), Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari and Opera.

As the operator of this website we have concluded a separate agreement on order data processing (ODP) with Google Analytics Germany in accordance with Section 11 BDSG.

5 Data security / Secure data transfer

Please note that the transfer of data on the Internet (e.g. by email) may have security gaps and vulnerabilities. It is therefore not possible to offer full protection against access by third parties. We safeguard our IT systems (including the website(s)) using technical and organisational measures (abb. TOM) to prevent unwanted access, forwarding, entry, loss and distribution as well as destruction and alteration by unauthorised persons.
